Role Description:

We're thrilled to offer a fantastic opportunity for aspiring Senior Data Engineers to be a part of our Data Analytics Team at TechX. As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of delivering world-class data analytics infrastructure and solutions, utilizing sophisticated data processing pipelines for our esteemed customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Guidance: Guide and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and professional growth.
• Collaborate with TechX Data Solution Architect, Data Analyst, and Data Scientist to design, implement, and tackle big data warehousing and DataLake challenges on a massive scale, leveraging AWS Big Data services.
• Focus on automation and optimization for all aspects of DWH/DL maintenance and deployment, with a special emphasis on big data processing, DWH/DL design, and BI self-service.
• Dive into unique and non-standard business problems, working closely with both technical and business teams, applying creative problem-solving skills to deliver actionable insights.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Info Systems, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience working with one or more query languages (SQL) and schema definition languages (e.g., DDL).
• Experience with one or more query languages (SQL), schema definition languages (e.g., DDL), and scripting languages (Python and Terraform) to build innovative data solutions.
• Proficiency or initial experience in technical architectures, data modeling, infrastructure components, ETL/ELT, reporting/analytic tools, and extracting value from vast datasets.
• Exposure to distributed system concepts, particularly from a data storage and computing perspective (e.g., data lake architectures).
• Initial hands-on experience with AWS Big Data Services such as S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda, EMR, RDS, and Redshift.
• Familiarity with at least one business intelligence reporting tool (Tableau, QuickSight, PowerBI).
• Demonstrated leadership experience in guiding and mentoring team members to enhance their skills and career development.
• Ability to foster a collaborative team environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
