Job Description:
The DevOps / IT Operations Engineer (Level 1) supports daily IT operations and assists the DevOps team in maintaining and improving system reliability, automation, and incident response. This is an entry-to-junior level hybrid role, ideal for someone with foundational DevOps knowledge and a strong interest in bridging IT Operations and DevOps practices.The role focuses on on-premise systems, monitoring, deployment support, and domain analytics infrastructure, ensuring smooth technical operations in collaboration with both IT Ops and DevOps teams.
Scope of Work & Key Responsibilities:
IT Operations & Incident Support
- Monitor and support on-premise infrastructure and system performance.
- Respond to Level 1 incidents, perform basic troubleshooting, and escalate when necessary.
- Work with Nam Hong to ensure stable IT operations and uptime.
- Maintain and update operational runbooks and documentation.
DevOps Support & System Maintenance
- Assist in deployment, configuration, and automation under DevOps guidance.
- Support CI/CD pipeline execution and monitoring (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, or similar).
- Participate in system log review, health checks, and performance alerts.
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to ensure operational consistency between environments.
Domain Analytics & Data Platform Operations
- Provide operational support for domain analytics systems, including access management and monitoring.
- Support environment setup and maintenance for data or MLOps workflows.
- Coordinate between DevOps and data teams to ensure smooth platform usage
Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
- Identify and propose small automation or process improvements.
- Participate in cross-functional discussions related to system stability and DevOps practices.
- Ensure proper follow-up and documentation for operational tasks and incident handling.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in IT Operations, System Administration, or DevOps support.
- Experience handling incident management and system monitoring.
- Exposure to DevOps tools and practices (CI/CD, containerization, automation scripts).
- Understanding of both on-premise and cloud environments (basic level).
Technical Skills
- Familiar with Linux/Windows server environments.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, or similar).
- Scripting ability (Bash, Python, or PowerShell) is a plus.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals and access management.
- Awareness of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes – nice to have).
