Together, we’ll build a future where innovation knows no limits.
Job Overview
TechX is formalizing its internal data governance system: classifying data/documents, establishing publishing policies, access control, data quality, document lifecycle, and compliance with our security commitments.
You will be the person operating this governance system day-to-day, working directly under the guidance of our Senior Data Engineer — the person who designed the framework. Specifically: tagging/classifying documents and data, maintaining a registry of authoritative documents, processing access requests, running periodic reviews, monitoring governance across the internal data platform's pipelines (data quality, schema/contract changes, lineage), and compiling compliance reports for leadership.
This role is a good fit if: you already have a data background (1-2 years as a Data Engineer / Data Analyst, or a recent graduate with substantial data internship experience), you enjoy structure, process, and control — and you want to grow into Data Governance / Data Management.
Key Responsibilities
Document/Data Classification & Publishing
Apply the classification framework (Public / Internal / Confidential / Restricted) to documents and data across SharePoint, Confluence, and Teams: tagging, running the pre-publish checklist (no real sensitive data exposed, no sensitive information in the wrong place, sufficient owner/version metadata).
Maintain the authoritative document registry: which version is "Certified" and currently in effect — putting an end to the "everyone keeps their own copy" problem.
Guide employees on publishing to the right location, with the right label, using the right template.
Access Control
Process access grant/revocation requests according to procedure; run periodic access reviews (who still has access to sensitive sites/spaces); audit externally shared links.
Execute the joiner-mover-leaver process: when an employee leaves or changes teams → revoke access, transfer document ownership.
Data Pipeline Governance & Data Quality
Monitor governance across the internal data platform's pipelines (Airflow/dbt or equivalent): run and track data quality reports / test results, follow up on disposition of DQ rule violations.
Track schema changes and data contracts between pipeline stages: confirming whether changes are properly declared, reviewed, and reflected in documentation.
Maintain the data catalog / business glossary / lineage: which dataset comes from which source, what each metric means, and who owns each data domain.
Monitoring & Compliance Reporting
Run periodic sweeps: % of documents labeled, violations detected, live external links, stale documents flagged for archiving.
Compile monthly/quarterly compliance reports for leadership; prepare evidence for company audits/security reviews.
Participate in data-leak incident response per procedure: revoking access, assessing scope, documenting root cause.
Key Requirements:
0.5-2 years of experience in data (strong preference for a Data Engineer / Data Analyst background), or a recent IT/Information Systems/Data Science graduate with a substantial data internship.
Basic to intermediate SQL: able to write your own queries to check data quality and reconcile figures.
Basic understanding of the data lifecycle: source → pipeline → warehouse/lakehouse → reporting; familiar with what data quality, schema, and metadata mean.
Careful, meticulous, patient with repetitive, process-driven work; comfortable tactfully reminding others to stay compliant.
Clear, well-structured Vietnamese writing skills; proficient with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint/Teams) or a fast learner.
Able to read and understand technical documentation in English.
Nice to Have
Prior experience writing data pipelines/tests (dbt, Airflow, Spark, etc.) — understanding governance "from the data practitioner's side."
Familiarity with concepts like data catalog, lineage, PII, and masking; some exposure to DAMA-DMBOK, Purview, Unity Catalog, or Collibra.
Basic understanding of information security (access control, least-privilege principle, DLP).
What You'll Get
Structured, guided training from the ground up: the governance framework is designed by our Senior Data Engineer, who will directly guide you in operating it — you'll learn governance hands-on with the company's real systems, not just theory.
A clear Junior → Mid career path: from operating the framework → participating in policy design → owning an entire governance area (classification, access, DQ) end-to-end.
An AI-native environment: TechX applies AI deeply throughout our workflows; you'll use AI as a daily tool for reviews, synthesis, and reporting.
What We Offer:
Innovative Environment: A dynamic and collaborative work environment where innovation is encouraged.
Professional Growth: Opportunities for professional growth and development through continuous learning and exposure to cutting-edge technologies.
Competitive Package: Competitive salary and benefits package
Impactful Work: The chance to work on cutting-edge projects with industry-leading clients, making a tangible impact on their business success.
