Job Overview:
We are looking for a (Senior) Data Architect on TechX's delivery team who translates contract scope, overall architecture, client business requirements into design decisions that can actually be built, tested, accepted, and operated. You are the daily technical point of contact between the client and the Data Engineering, Governance, Data Science/MLOps, Platform, Security, and QA teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Finalize scope & requirements with the client:
Understand the client's business objectives and data requirements to define the business entities, data sources, historical data needs, and Data Product boundaries.
Clarify feature engineering, AI/ML requirements, system integrations, and acceptance criteria.
Ensure all stakeholders have a shared understanding of what will be delivered.
Control scope changes by distinguishing between defects, data issues, design gaps, and new business requests.
Design and own the end-to-end data flow:
Design the complete data architecture from data ingestion through transformation to Data Products and AI/analytics consumption.
Define data models, business keys, dataset granularity, and processing logic.
Design historical loading, incremental processing, replay/reprocessing, reconciliation, and schema evolution strategies.
Establish ownership and responsibilities across every stage of the data lifecycle.
Govern Data & Interface Contracts:
Define and maintain data contracts for every stage of the data pipeline.
Review changes to ensure downstream systems remain stable and compatible.
Bridge Business, Data, AI & Technology Teams:
Work with the Data Governance team to ensure data is properly classified, secured, and traceable.
Collaborate with Data Science and MLOps teams to define feature datasets, model inputs/outputs, and end-to-end lineage.
Design data interfaces with downstream systems such as CRM, operational applications, and external consumers.
Define integration standards including data format, scheduling, acknowledgements, reconciliation, monitoring, and error handling.
Lead Solution Delivery from Design to Production:
Guide development teams during implementation and resolve design ambiguities.
Review solution quality and ensure implementation aligns with the approved architecture.
Support System Integration Testing (SIT) by defining test scenarios, expected results, and resolving cross-domain issues.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by explaining business logic, validating outputs, and reconciling client feedback.
Lead production readiness activities including reconciliation, operational runbooks, knowledge transfer, and post-go-live support (hypercare).
Key Requirements:
6+ years of experience in data, including at least 2–3 years as a Data Architect / Solution Designer
Deep experience with banking / financial data (core banking, transactions, customer data, compliance) to hold conversations with both the bank's business and IT sides.
Excellent customer-facing and consulting skills, with the ability to facilitate requirement discussions, clarify business needs, present solution options and trade-offs, and drive decisions to closure during client workshops. Able to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both business and technical stakeholders in Vietnamese.
Strong understanding of modern data architecture, including the design of Lakehouse/Medallion architectures (Bronze–Silver–Gold), Data Products, and scalable enterprise data platforms.
Hands-on experience in data modeling, including dimensional, normalized, and analytical models, with the ability to produce and review high-quality Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) documentation.
Solid knowledge of enterprise data integration patterns, including batch, Change Data Capture (CDC), streaming, file-based, and API-based ingestion.
Good understanding of data governance and security principles, including identity and access management (IAM), data classification, masking, protection of sensitive data (PII), auditing, and compliance considerations.
Working knowledge of AI/ML data pipelines, including feature engineering concepts, feature contracts, point-in-time correctness, snapshot/version management, and data leakage prevention to support machine learning workloads.
Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage multiple vendors or delivery partners
Excellent documentation and technical writing skills in Vietnamese, with the ability to produce clear architecture documents, design specifications, and implementation artifacts.
Professional English proficiency
Nice to Have
Experience with Databricks + Unity Catalog, or the AWS data stack (Glue, Redshift, S3, Lake Formation).
Prior work on NBO / next-best-offer, CRM integration, or projects with production ML/AI components.
Experience building or operating a data governance framework (catalog, lineage, classification, certification).
Prior onsite delivery at banks or enterprise customers.
Working Model
Onsite at the customer's office 4–5 days/week during Discovery/Design/Integration and SIT/UAT/cutover phases.
You work within a TechX project team (Lead Solution Architect, Data Engineering team, Governance, MLOps) as the project's data architecture focal point.
